Dates

What are your hours of operation?

We accept private event bookings 7-days a week from 11 am to 8 pm by phone and email, or 24-hours a day using our online booking tool. Private events can be scheduled anytime between the hours of 11 am to 11 pm. Please note that facility hours are variable, so if you want to check out the space contact us in advance.

Can I drop-in any day of the week?

Drop-in nights are offered every Wednesday at 6pm and Sunday at 2pm – aptly named pick-up nights. Prepay for your pick-up night and save $5 off the door price. All times outside of weekly scheduled pick-up nights are available for private event bookings.

How can I join a weekly scheduled pick-up night?

Drop-in nights (aptly named pick-up nights) are scheduled every Wednesday @6pm, Sunday @2pm and run for 1.5 to 2-hours, depending on group size and speed of play. Contact us to register for pick-up and save $5 off the door price with prepayment. Please arrive promptly on the hour to ensure you do not hold up the group or miss out on coaching and throwing time.

Events

How many people are required to book a private event?

The minimum requirement to book a private event is 4 participants or the cost equivalent. This guarantees a comfortable number of people to run tournaments and a nice mix of throwing and socializing. If this doesn’t work for you, no worries, try a Wednesday or Sunday drop-in.

Do I need AXE throwing experience?

The simple answer is NO. Our trained coaches will facilitate your axe throwing tournament in a fun and safe environment. Every participant is given practice throws accompanied by expert guidance and ongoing instruction. Our AXE coaches will have you hitting targets and high fiving in no time!

Do you supply the axes?

We have a full arsenal of one-piece, steel forged axes and knives for your throwing pleasure. You will have the opportunity to throw these implements at Private Events, Pick-Up Nights and League.

What kind of people book AXE throwing events?

Contrary to popular belief a bearded face and tattoos are not prerequisites. Axe throwing is an ideal event catering to Corporate Events, Birthday Parties, Bachelor & Bachelorette, Team Wind-Ups, Divorce Parties, special event celebrations and friends looking for new experiences. The relaxed, fun and competitive nature fosters team building and good times.

What skill level is league competition?

Since AXE throwing is relatively new to most cities, most league participants will be new to the sport. Join a league to try it out!

Food & Drink

Can we bring our own food?

Yes, Private Events are welcome to bring their own food or arrange catering. Check out our licensed lounge for drink options including beer, cider, wine, mixed drinks and non-alcoholic bevies.

Can we BYOB?

Sorry – BYOB (bring your own booze) is not permitted by law as per the Liquor & Gaming Authority of Mantioba. Instead try our licensed lounge. We offer a selection of beer, cider, wine and mixed drinks. If you have any Private Event special drink preferences, please contact us to see if we can accommodate.

Are you licensed to serve?

All participants must demonstrate the ability to follow AXE safety & best practices policy and coaching instruction.

How safe can AXE throwing really be?

Our facility, events and instruction are designed with safety and comfort in mind. All participants are trained on key Safety & Best practices range rules prior to throwing an axe. Our AXE Coaches supervise, facilitate and train participants while axes are in-play. These factors provide a safe and fun environment that is conducive to learning.

What clothing should I wear?

A loose fitting top is recommended for comfortable upper body movement. Your footwear should have good traction for stability. Closed toed shoes are mandatory. No sandals or flip flops, and high heels are discouraged.
